'State of Fitness: National Fitness Day (& Basic fitness advice)'

'Today is national fitness day, and on this two-part reflection, I will diverge some of my knowledge from  8 years of working in the fitness industry, Working in gyms since the age of 15 and countless years of competing in Athletics to national level.    Of course, there is more information than can be placed within 5000 characters description and a 9 min video. which reminds me to tell you to avoid the quick hack and fixes as they often don\'t work.  realistic timeframes of months and sometimes years are needed to reach fitness goals. Goals have to be specific, measurable, realistic, timed.knowing that you many need to have short, medium and long term goals over a realistic time period.  As this can increase enjoyment, engagement and motivation.  Yet I am aware that setting goals and objectives doe not suit everyone, and the type of goals (process or outcome) goals can also ultimately depend on what framework (like SMART or Google\'s OKR)  you are utilising. And also reflect on goals and ask yourself what is going well, what could be better, How does this make me feel and how can I improve on my achievements thus far.  These should ultimately helo you to develop healthy habits which makes the being healthy and training easier, and I know some of you reading this will say but I am too busy and it is easy for you to say, well you need to make time for your own health and fitness, especially if you love yourself and loved one enough (body positivity).   Although I believe that awareness days can fail in that they get everyone excited for a day before all the hype is lost, however, they do raise awareness of the issue, in this case, being health and fitness.   #fitness2me #fitnessday'
