Course Introduction:  Personal Training practised by one referred to as ‘Personal Trainer‘ or ‘Fitness Trainer‘ or ‘Personal Fitness Trainer’ or ‘Fitness Professional’ or ‘Weight Trainer’ is one of the fastest growing professions today. So, what is this field of Personal Training? And why is there a need of this field of Personal Training?  Based on this our course module covers the following topics and you will learn about :-  The human body and its working in relation to health, fitness, exercise, disease prevention and disease modification.  Techniques of counselling and motivation to become successful trainers and coaches.  Initial client assessments to assess a client before they start exercising in order to understand 1.Who can start exercising right away 2.Who could be having a medical condition and should be referred to a doctor first before beginning an exercise programme, or 3.Who should be referred to another exercise specialist.  Fitness Testing  Exercise Scheduling and Programming 1.Anaerobic training ( resistance training and cardio ) 2.Cardio-respiratory training 3.Flexibility and mobility training 4.Injury prevention exercises 5.Special populations with common medical conditions like neck pains, back pains, diabetes, high blood pressure etc. 6.Introduction to advanced training techniques, 7.Comprehensive exercise planning combining all above aspects.  Gym Floor working :- 1.How to write exercise cards 2.How to maintain basic records 3.Documentation 4.Equipment care 5.Legal and Municipal requirements 6.First Aid with CPR AED and emergency procedures.  Personality Development – grooming, manners, gym floor etiquettes, communication skills, trainer-client interactions, use of technology (computers), bio data writing, interview skills etc.  Basics of nutrition and hydration for health and performance.  Introduction to other forms of training modalities like Yoga, Power Yoga, Pilates, Kettlebells training, Suspension training (TRX), Functional training, Cross-fit etc.  Application of all the above knowledge for understanding the difference in exercise prescriptions for fitness and for sports.  Career Pathways Today, people of different age groups, educational and professional backgrounds are coming to the Fitness industry. People aspiring to become Fitness trainers and get educated in exercise and fitness sciences are :-  1. People who have chosen exercise and fitness as a career choice from the beginning.  2.
